The Kabalega
Independence Run Story.

Inaugurated in October 2023 during the 100 year-mark of the legacy of Omukama Cwa II Kabalega, Kabalega Independence Run is an annual social event that brings the community together to run for various causes of common good. Each year, we run to honor the indomitable spirit of Omukama Cwa II Kabalega — a symbol of resistance, resilience, and nationhood. Each year, the run celebrates not only history, but also the modern fight for community development, inclusion, and wellness across Uganda.

Be a champion for a green future as we run to support environmental protection initiatives

Kabalega Independence Run features a crucial blood donation drive in partnership with Uganda Blood Transfusion Services.

By encouraging people of all ages and fitness levels to participate, the run helps foster a culture of regular exercise.

Local vendors and small businesses benefit directly from the event. From race-day essentials like water and snacks to merchandise and souvenirs.
